Do you remember the steel and plywood stacking chairs from school?
A local events organising company wanted a unique look for their chairs.
They were looking for a traditional theme with a contemporary twist.
Having managed to obtain a whole batch of steel framed plywood faced stacking chairs, they asked us to produce a frosted green edge acrylic replacement for the plywood. This also enabled us to engrave their logo into the chair backs.
Using the original plywood sections as templates, we took dimensions from these to produce our own moulds, then by heating the panels in our large oven we were able to apply a drape moulding technique to produce a finished item.
The finished item is eminently practical, stylish and comfortable.
